We're live on NPR's Thistle and Shamrock!

From now on, we'll be able to introduce ourselves and our album with "as heard on National Public Radio's Thistle and Shamrock!" This weekend we are featured on Fiona Ritchie's famous traditional music program, which is focused this week on "tracks from the latest albums by North American artists who work to expand the reach of Celtic traditions." Congratulations to all of our performers and families, past and present.

The program will be streaming for the next 10 weeks or so at www.Thistleradio.com.

Show canceled!

Sadly, we have had to cancel a gig. We will not be appearing this Saturday at the Niagara Celtic Festival, an event we have really been looking forward to, as our director has been placed on injured reserve. Our current and complete schedule is available on our website at www.blackrosetrad.org.

Upcoming Events 2012-13

We already have five great events scheduled for the next school year, and we are excited for all of them! Our performance calendar opens with our debut at the Niagara Celtic Festival on September 15, and then moves to our first-ever performance and workshop at the Rochester Flute Fair in November. We will be presenting workshops at the western NY and NY State music education conferences in December and January, and are honored to have been invited to performed at Highland Hospital's Fundraising Gala in March. We are also in talks to host a wind band and traditional band from a school in Ireland in March, and look forward to performing with them.

To keep up with our calendar, visit the schedule page of our website.
